Giant is the first defense targetting troop which you get in the clash of clans and it is the third troop you can unlock in barracks. So in this article, we will see some facts and usage of giants in Clash of clans.
How Giant works in Clash of Clans
- Giant is a high hit point with low damaging "Defence targetting troop"
- Giants always target nearest defense and switches to another defense once the initial target defense destroyed.
- It can attack one defense at a time!
- Like archer and barbarian, Giant never target enemy troops until all the defenses destroyed.
- So even a skeleton trap or a single loon is a bigger threat to the Giants.
- Since the DPS is low for giants mostly used as a group for effective Damage to the enemies.
Uses of Giants in Clash of Clans
meat shield
Giants is the one of most used war troop until th7. Since its hit points are high, they are mostly used as meat shield for the troops with high DPS and low HP like wizards.
Luring enemy cc troops
We can also use giants as enemy clan castle luring troop. It's ability to targeting defenses will help giants to reach the clan castle's range if the clan castle is not centralized.
Distracting troop
In higher level, townhalls except than some strategies giants are only used to do some small works like distracting. Players often use one giant to distract defenses while wall breaker breaks the wall or wizards clearing building to get a perfect funnel.
